Choose the route skeleton by trip length
Four days in Zhangjiajie: fit Tianmen Mountain, the Wulingyuan core and arrival or departure time without forcing Fenghuang in. Five days for Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang: see the mountains first, then transfer to Fenghuang for an evening and a slower return. Six days: add Furong Town or split the forest-park days for a gentler pace. The shorter the trip, the more important it is to confirm your airport or rail arrival before adding another stop.
What changes a private tour quote
The variables include travel dates, adults and children, room count, hotel level, vehicle size, driver days, attraction tickets and cableways, Chinese or English guiding, airport or station transfers, meal planning and optional Furong Town. Transfers between Zhangjiajie attractions are not identical, and a Fenghuang hotel location affects pick-up time. An online per-person number is not comparable until these items are checked.
How to use a four-, five- or six-day plan
A four-day plan can use an arrival transfer, one Tianmen day and two Wulingyuan days, then adjust to the departure time. Five days usually gives Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang separate hotel bases instead of a same-day rush. Six days can leave room for Huangshizhai, Golden Whip Stream or the Grand Canyon, or add Furong Town. The final order should be checked against weather, attraction operations and your walking comfort.
Where to stay and how to transfer
Wulingyuan works for consecutive forest-park visits. Zhangjiajie city is convenient for Tianmen Mountain and arrival or departure. Fenghuang is best placed in the middle or later part of the route. A private vehicle can connect airports, railway stations, hotels and scenic areas door to door, but tell us about luggage, child seats, older travellers and late arrivals. Public transport also needs time for transfers, waiting and bags.

Ask for a line-by-line list of included and excluded items: hotel nights and room type, vehicle and driver scope, tickets and cableways, guiding, transfers, meals, insurance or other services. The quotation should state its validity, change and cancellation rules, and alternatives when a scenic area changes operations.
